1. Who we are

Astromei is operated by Shunshi Technology Limited at https://astromei.com. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our website and services. Contact us at contact@shunshi.ai for privacy questions.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and authentication information; when you choose Google sign-in, your Google account identifier, email address, name and profile picture. Password authentication is handled by Supabase.

Information you submit: birth date, time, location, gender, profile labels and relationship tags; questions, conversation history, feedback, and inputs needed for the tools you choose. We also store generated charts, reports and images. Only provide another person’s information if you have permission or another lawful basis. Avoid including sensitive personal information in AI conversations.

Payment information: order identifiers, selected pass, amount, currency, payment status, refunds and disputes. Stripe processes payment details; we do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes.

Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, interaction events, performance and error logs. Vercel Analytics and, when configured, Google Analytics and Sentry help us understand usage and diagnose problems.

3. Google account data

Google sign-in requests basic email and profile permissions to identify you, create or link your Astromei account, and manage sign-in. It does not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendars.

We store the account information needed for authentication in our authentication and account systems. We do not sell Google account data or use it for advertising. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Astromei’s Google access in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not by itself delete data already stored by Astromei. Contact us separately to request deletion.

4. Why we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, calculate charts, generate interpretations and images, maintain conversation history, deliver purchased access, manage payments, provide support, prevent misuse and improve reliability. We use the information relevant to the feature you request.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing relies on performing our contract with you, your consent where required, legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, subject to your rights.

5. Providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Providers receive information necessary for their role: Supabase for authentication and databases; Microsoft Azure and Vercel for hosting; Cloudflare for network protection and image storage; Resend for authentication email delivery; Stripe for payments; DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud and ByteDance Volcengine for AI text or image generation, including configured fallback models; Google for sign-in, fonts and configured analytics; and Sentry for error monitoring when enabled. Their processing is also governed by their applicable policies.

When you request AI features, relevant chart data, prompts and conversation context may be sent to the AI provider to produce a response. Do not submit secrets or unnecessary sensitive information.

A profile or result you choose to share publicly may be accessible to anyone with its link. We may also disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security issues, or in a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies or browser storage for authentication, account sessions, OAuth verification, preferences and payment flows. Google Analytics may use analytics cookies when configured. Vercel Analytics collects usage measurements without analytics cookies.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Where our analytics consent banner is shown, you can accept or reject Google Analytics storage. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or other functions.

7. Retention, account closure and deletion

We retain account, profile, chat and report records to provide saved history and operate the service. Payment, refund, dispute and security records may be retained to meet legal obligations and resolve claims. Backups and provider records may remain for their retention cycles.

Closing an account disables its sign-in and turns off its public profile sharing. It does not automatically erase stored birth profiles, conversations, reports or order records. The current closure process retains these records. You can delete individual birth profiles through the service; this is not a complete deletion of all related records. After closure, stored business records may also remain available for internal service analysis; closure is not anonymization.

For a personal-data deletion request, email contact@shunshi.ai from the relevant account address and specify what you want deleted. We verify identity and review requests under applicable law, including retention obligations. We do not describe account closure as complete erasure.

8. International processing and security

Our main application backend and database are hosted in South Korea. Hosting, email, payment, analytics and AI providers may process information in other countries, which can have different data protection rules. We apply safeguards required by applicable law for relevant transfers.

We use HTTPS, authentication and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to the relevant data protection authority. Contact contact@shunshi.ai; identity verification may be necessary.

10. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can consent or enter a contract in your country, use requires the involvement of a parent or guardian as applicable. Contact us if a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

11. Policy updates

We publish updates on this page and revise the date above. For material changes, we provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
